CTO and Product Leader

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary CTO (Chief Technology Officer) and Product Leader to join our team and lead the technical direction of our platform. As the CTO and Product Leader at HamRadioPrep, you will play a critical role in shaping our technology strategy, overseeing product development, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional user experiences. You will collaborate closely with our executive team, developers, designers, and other stakeholders to drive innovation, improve scalability, and enhance our overall product offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Technology Leadership:
  • Develop and implement the overall technology strategy and vision for HamRadioPrep.
  • Drive the evaluation, selection, and adoption of appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Ensure the company’s technical infrastructure is efficient, secure, and scalable.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Product Development and Strategy:
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch and ongoing enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and content, to define and prioritize product features and roadmap.
  • Conduct market research, user testing, and data analysis to identify customer needs and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Drive product innovation by fostering a culture of experimentation, iteration, and agile development methodologies.
• Team Management:
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Set clear objectives, define success metrics, and ensure the team’s deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with the executive team and other stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Communicate technical strategies, progress, and challenges to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with external partners, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in a technology leadership role, preferably as a CTO or Head of Product in a fast-paced, technology-driven organization.
• Strong technical background with expertise in web development, cloud-based solutions, and scalable architectures.
• Solid understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
• Experience with managing cross-functional teams and leading product development from ideation to launch.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented language.
• Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a track record of delivering innovative and customer-centric products.
• Familiarity with educational technology, e-learning platforms, or the EdTech industry is a plus.
• Ham radio license or interest in amateur radio is a bonus, but not required.
