Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Salesperson / Account Executive to join our sales team. As a Salesperson / Account Executive at HamRadioPrep, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers and nurturing existing client relationships. You will play a critical role in expanding our customer base and promoting our products and services to individuals, ham radio clubs, and educational institutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of an innovative EdTech company in the ham radio industry.
Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target prospective customers in the ham radio community, including individuals, ham radio clubs, and educational institutions.
- Conduct sales outreach through various channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, and in-person meetings (as appropriate).
- Understand customer needs, educate them about the benefits of our platform, and present tailored solutions to drive sales.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, tracking progress and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Account Management:
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Proactively engage with customers to identify additional opportunities, upsell relevant products, and secure contract renewals.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer support, to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Market Research and Insights:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to identify potential business opportunities.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target segments, develop sales strategies, and optimize product positioning.
- Gather customer feedback and insights to provide input into product development and enhancement efforts.
- Sales Reporting and Collaboration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities using a CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to share with the sales team and management.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support sales initiatives, campaigns, and promotional activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Proven track record of success in sales or business development, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for pipeline management and reporting.
- Knowledge of the ham radio industry, amateur radio community, or experience in the EdTech sector is a plus.
