We are seeking a creative and strategic Content / Media Director to lead our content creation and media strategy. As the Content / Media Director at HamRadioPrep, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our content vision across various channels, including our website, blog, social media, videos, and more. You will lead a team of content creators, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop compelling content that educates, engages, and inspires our target audience. Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with our brand values, target audience, and business goals.
- Conduct market research and audience analysis to identify content trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Create a content calendar, setting clear objectives, topics, formats, and distribution channels for each piece of content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content is aligned with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Content Creation and Management:
- Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging, and educational content across multiple formats, including articles, guides, videos, infographics, and social media posts.
- Lead and mentor a team of content creators, providing guidance, feedback, and support in developing compelling content.
- Ensure all content is accurate, well-researched, and adheres to brand guidelines and industry best practices.
- Manage content production timelines, deadlines, and distribution across various platforms.
- Media Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement a media strategy to maximize our reach and engagement across relevant channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute integrated media campaigns, including paid advertising, influencer partnerships, and content amplification.
- Identify opportunities for media partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships to expand our brand presence.
- Analyze and measure the effectiveness of media campaigns, optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Content Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as engagement, conversions, and audience feedback.
- Use data insights to identify content performance trends, optimize content strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Generate regular reports to share key performance indicators with stakeholders and make data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in content strategy, creation, and management, preferably in a digital or educational setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of content creators.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to adapt content to different formats and platforms.
- Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of audience personas, content marketing, and social media trends.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
- Proficient in content management systems, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
- Experience with video production, including scripting, storyboarding, and editing, is a plus.
- Passion for education, technology, and the ham radio industry is highly desirable.
